Statistical Analysis Using MS Excel
Minimalist Statistical Analysis Using MS Excel Training Manuals
This hands on, experiential, student based manual uses a highly visual step by step approach to create and analyze statistical examples. It assumes that the student has no experience or background with either MS Excel software or statistics.
The manual is for learning to use MS Excel software proficiently, to understand how statistical analysis is done and to interpret what the answers from the calculations mean in regards to the real world. We suggest that anyone teaching Statistics start with MS Excel software. You will see that within 10 hours students are quite competent with the software and with the basic concepts of statistical analysis. This synergistic effect will free you, the instructor, up, to go into greater depth and detail with statistical concepts.
The topics covered are those typically covered in an introductory statistics course and take you through introductory, intermediate, and some advanced Excel. Many statistical functions in MS Excel will be introduced and utilized alongside the actual statistical calculations so comparisons may be readily seen and understood by the student.
For a listing of topics, please see the table of contents in the sample that is provided:
The manual is incredibly directed, resulting in students working through the materials and coming out with an in-depth knowledge of both the MS Excel software and statistical analysis in the shortest time period possible! Far faster than any traditional approach and with a deeper understanding of both MS Excel and Statistics.
Distance delivery and e-learning classes are greatly enhanced with the use of these materials as questions are answered by working through the materials. Each project takes an average of one – half hour to complete. The book is designed for an 51 hour course but students would be finished in one – half of that time leaving ample time to reinforce statistical theory, or possibly go into further advanced topics.
